Wet n wild Photo Focus Review

20180208_122848

Today I want to talk about this Wet n Wild photo focus foundation. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this specific foundation. My twin sister recommended this to me and she loves it. I purchased it at Wal-mart for $4.68 and for the price this foundation is so good.

The formula is very lightweight. It is very easy to blend onto my skin. (I have combination skin by the wayway.) If you want to know how I prep my skin before I apply foundation let me know and I will do a blog post on it.

The foundation claims to be your skin but better. It also claims that when you take a flash photo it won’t leave you a white cast and it was tested under 7 different lights. I tried it with flash photography and I didn’t get a white cast.

This foundation in my opinion is medium to full coverage and it is buildable. On my face it lasts to about 11 to 12 hours and it starts rubbing off my nose but that’s expected from me because my nose tends to get oily.

I’m so glad I was having a bad skin day for this post because now you can see how good this foundation is. It covered mostly all my redness, dark spots, etc. This was with one layer of foundation and I applied it with my maybelline sponge, damped. Like the claim said, like your skin only better and I believe because look at the picture above, it gave me a flawless, even-toned finish.

Last picture is when my makeup is all done. I didn’t apply any concealer because I wanted to see if the foundation would crease up, it did. The side I didn’t apply setting powder to, ended up creasing after an hour. Overall I love this foundation. It lasted pretty long with and without setting powder. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

How to style Pink mules for Valentine’s Day.

20180206_162137

My sister purchased these pink loafers at Target recently and she gave me the idea to do a blog post on how to style these for Valentine’s day or pretty much any day. We came up with three looks. I have so much other ways to style these shoes but this is all for now. Maybe on my Instagram I will show other outfits when I purchase these myself because I really want to wear them with a white denim skirt and white jeans. Ahh in really want the black ones too. I hope you all enjoy this post we worked on for you. Thank you all for reading. Target loafers here.

OH SO SWEET – This pink cardigan pairs very well with the loafers and the jeans and black blouse balance out the pink nicely.

FRESHLY PICKED – This perfect ruffly white blouse is super cute and so innocent looking. Perfect for a movie date night. (Who’s watching Fifty Shades Freed?)

CASUAL BABE – Ok if you are like me and love to keep it low key on Valentine’s day then this outfit is for you. Perfect for a chill date at home with some homemade dinner or take out.

Which outfit is your favorite? And how do you love to spend your Valentine’s Day? I would love to read your take on this day. 💗

Maybelline Face Studio Blender Review.

PhotoGrid_1516407434348

This Maybelline sponge is hands down my favorite from the drugstore. It is super affordable (hey $5) and you can purchase it at Wal-mart or Ulta. When you wet the sponge it gets to a pretty good size, I’m sorry I do not have a side by side comparison of the sponge wet and dry. When I apply the foundation onto my damped sponge it doesn’t soak up any product and it gives my face a nice airbrushed look. As seen on the photo above 1) on the curve you can grip for precision and accuracy 2) for blending large areas with your foundation 3) to blend hard to reach areas such as around your nose and under and inner eye area. You will see that in the end this sponge gives you a nice seamless look.

I give this sponge 5 stars. I truly recommend this to you all if you are on the hunt for a affordable beauty sponge.

These are some of the sponges I have tried, I only dislike one and I will explain why. I love trying new sponges every chance I get. These are all pretty affordable minus one but you do get what you pay for or better.

1. EcoTools total perfecting blender – This is the most affordable sponge. You can use this wet or dry for a nice air brushed look. It doesn’t soak up any product and you can purchase this at Ulta, Wal-Mart and Target.

2. Beauty Blender Pro – This beauty blender is perfect for those darker products that are hard to clean. This product also gets super moist which helps to use your product even more so it doesn’t soak up.

3. Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge – This sponge was not good. When you damp it, it is still hard and not bouncy at all. It soaked up my foundation and it ripped easily. It’s multi use but I really don’t recommend this.

4. Original Beauty Blender – The famous beauty blender. I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t like this sponge. I love it a lot and I think the price is pretty reasonable. It’s a multi use sponge. I love you use it damped, obviously. You can also use it dry for powders and it gives you a nice natural look.

5. Real Techniques Bold Metals Diamond Sponge –  The only thing I like about this sponge is that it’s latex free and it works good for hard to reach areas. What I hate about this sponge is that is absorbs my foundation so fast. Anyone else had this problem?

6. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – This is the best dupe for the original beauty blender. This doesn’t soak up product and it is nice and bouncy and super affordable. I love purchasing this sponge in the twin pack.

7. L’Oreal Infallible Beauty Blender -This sponge is so soft to the touch and has a smooth surface which makes it easy to hold the product. I think it works really good wet or dry. When damped it gets nice and big. This doesn’t soak up any product. I really love this one.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have any of you tried any sponges not on this list? I would love to know some of your recommendations. This is out of topic but have any of you tried a silicone sponge yet? I really want to try one.

I love how this outfit is so casual and basic but still fun. This leopard cardigan was thrifted and it was still brand new. I love how the spike details on the shoulder gives this look a little edgy vibe and the cabby hat a fun twist.

These are the most comfortable high-waisted jeans from H&M and they were only $20.

Grommet

20171110_164416

I have been so obsessed with the grommet trend lately, if you follow my instagram you would have also seen this post. When I saw this jacket I had to have it, it’s trendy but I know I will be wearing this year round and not just during the fall and winter time.

20171110_164552

I purchased this jacket at Ross so I can not link this exact one but you can check out this one from GUESS or this one from Forever21.

20171110_151638

I purchased this crop top at Forever21, it was so inexpensive I also purchased it in black and left the white one behind, kinda regretting it now. Similar top here.

The black lace-up skirt I purchased it at Forever21 and the exact one I have is sold out but I did find this similar one, here. The booties are from JustFab via Plato’s closet (my sisters booties) a alternative, here.

Lastly this cute velvet ring purse from Ross, (thanks to my twin) she bought this for me. The straps are adjustable which is a plus for me because I hate when I can’t carry a purse as a crossbody. I love the gold hardware and the texture paired together. You can purchase this similar one if you’d like.

Insta Haul

PhotoGrid_1508189511624.jpg

Obsessed with these pieces. I know for sure that I will get a lot of use out of them because they are classic and basic but they all have a fun texture, style and color to the point where they are wearable for every day.

H&M

Red loose sweater – So if you all read my last blog post then you know this was on my wishlist. When I saw it at H&M I grabbed it so fast and it was in my size, the last one. It was ment to be. The sweater is so soft and comfy. It is loose but true to size. It is going to look so cute with my high-waisted jeans and black faux leather skirt to add some fun texture. (Size small)

High-waist jeans – I have been on the hunt for the perfect high-waisted jeans. These are so comfy, they fit well, have a good stretch, make your booty look good and they are soft not rough. Definitely going back to buy more colors. (Size 6)

Forever 21

Lace up skirt – I couldn’t find the one I bought in the store but I did link a similar one. But I really love the lace up detail because it’s different and out of my comfort zone. Plus it is going to look cute with a tucked in sweater or shirt.

Faux leather mini skirt – I love the fit of this skirt. It hugs you in all the right places and it has a nice stretch to it as well. It’s not a super thick skirt but definitely breatheable. Faux leather skirt are perfect for casual to dressy looks. Can’t wait to wear mine with some sneakers or heels depending on where I go.

Camis – I used to wear camis in every color in high school just like that alone and I love pairing them under t-shirts as well. Now that I’m older I love the idea of wearing these tanks alone for a sexy look with a choker on. I got one in black and in white. I love to wear these tanks with strapless bras so it doesn’t look too casual of that makes any sense. I want the tanks to look dressed up.

Have any of you purchased anything from your wishlist? I still have a few things that I want for my fall wardrobe but what’s the point if the weather here don’t allow me to buy cold appropriate clothes. sad.

H&M wishlist.

PhotoGrid_1506294229687

I don’t know about you all but I love to read/watch bloggers & youtubers wishlists. I especially love watching Lily Melrose wishlists everytime she posts them. So I think it would be fun to write a blog post and share with you all the things I’m interested in buying for the fall season. I hope you all enjoy this post and I would love to know what are some fashion pieces you are interested in buying.

Knit sweaters

Red loose knit sweater – I have been on the hunt for a sweater this color for so long. I walked into H&M about two weeks ago and I almost purchased a sweater in the same color but it was $30. My sister convinced I would come across a little more affordable one soon….well I think this one is it.

Mustard knit sweater – This sweater and color will look so good with any colored pants, the warm tone ia what makes it super wearable with any pants you own in your closet. Also I can see myself wearing this sweater with my cropped leather jacket I have from Zara.

Pants

Stovepipe pants – The pattern on these are so cute and on trend this season. The slim cut on these makes it much more easier to style with some edgy platforms to make the masculine pants look a little bit chic and girly.

Faux leather pants – Leather pants are hard to find especially a fit that will be good for your body. The slight tapered legs can bw very flattering on any body type. These will look cute with some black and white converse, the red knit sweater above and a cool jacket over it for a casual look.

Tops

Turtle neck top – Ok I love stripes, I’ve never met a stripe I didn’t like. This slightly loose top will be easy to tuck in into the faux leather pants above, a black brim hat, and some adorable metallic loafers for a parisian look.

Short mesh top – I love dark florals especially this one because of the purple it has in it. The sheer adds a bit of sexyness to this top. Just add a flirty bralette underneath and a cute leather skirt for a fun date night look.

Fun skirts

Short skirt – The stars on this skirt is such a fun little detail. My inner kid screams of excitement. Stars are a fun trend going on this fall and this skirt is perfect for all the trendy fashionistas.

Lace up skirt – This is such a amazing skirt. The lace-up trend is still standing strong and it’s here to stay. The lace-up detail gives this skirt a nice bad girl vibe.

Accessories

Hat – The captain & baker boy hat is everywhere this season and one of my favorite youtubers, Ashley Brooke rocks it so well.

Earrings – I don’t wear big, dangly earrings like I used to but these are so pretty. The color is so eye catching and makes a statement to a very basic outfit.

I hope you all enjoy this post and hopefully you all had a great weekend. What’s on your wishlist?
