Juno & Co Microfiber velvet sponge

20190104_152637

Hello Everyone. Happy 2019!

Beauty sponges come in all different shapes and sizes. A lot of makeup brands have their own sponges but not all of them work good because some of them soak up your foundation, they rip easily or they don’t feel nice, some people don’t  love the bouncy  sponges and others don’t love the stiffness but some do. I have tried so many makeup sponges which you can read about it here.

Today I want to talk about a beauty sponge that I have seen all over Instagram and Youtube. First I watched Brunette Freckle video and all the others she posted about the sponge. Long story short Iris loved it and she had extras and she gifted me one to try out. I also watched Kathleen Lights video and Kayleigh Noelle video. They all loved it.

ABOUT THE SPONGE

This microfiber velvet sponge is super affordable, it is only $6 and you can find it on the Juno & Co website. This sponge is made with velvet soft microfibers and it blends out your foundation so good. It gives you a very good airbrushed, full coverage finish. This sponge does not soak up any of your foundation at all. You can even do your whole face with this one sponge including your cream blushes and bronzers to your powders.

I was shocked when I used this sponge, it does however leave you a matte look just to throw it out there but I have no problem with it because I’m not much of a dewy person. I have no problems when cleaning this sponge the product comes off easily. You can use this sponge dry but I prefer it wet because it gets bigger and bouncier.

Don’t be scared of the tiny microfibers they will not transfer and pill to your face. I know when I tried the elf cosmetics dual sided  silicone blender it left all the black felt from the flocked side after the second use. All-in-all I love this Juno & Co sponge and I would totally recommend this to all of you. They have so many other sponges that I haven’t tried yet. They also have makeup brushes that I want to try as well. I’m so sorry I don’t have before and after pictures of my foundation with two different sponges. If you would like to see how this sponge performs VS a regular sponge like the Morphe one please let me know.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Affordable eye shadow palette.

20180810_140418

Hi everyone! It’s been a while and I really missed blogging. Today I want to share this super affordable eye shadow palette with you all. I have watched a lot of YouTube videos on this Palette and I finally decided to buy it. Most reviews I read are really positive ones honestly and the only thing people don’t like about this Palette is the fall out. I have to agree, it has a lot of fall out which I really don’t mind at all just tap the excess off.

20180810_133816

This palette swatches very nice especially when you pick up a eye brush. They blend perfectly and easily. This palette reminds me of the elf mad for plaid 2, the colors are very similar and it’s also super affordable.

This Wet N Wild palette is just as good as a high end one you buy at Sephora or Ulta. I really recommend this Palette to anyone, I have yet to try the other shades. How do you all few about this Palette?

20180802_104320

I’ve had this Palette for two weeks now and the other day I wore this on a hot day and it lasted all day on my eyes and I didn’t add any eye primer. I was sweating and none of it budged. Nothing but good feedback on this beauty. I hope all of you have a great weekend. Let me know if any of tried it or the other shades.

Would you love to read a blog post on some of my favorite wet n wild products that are just as good as the palette? Let me know. 💜

Soap & Glory Peach Pout Lipstick Balms 🍑

20180408_133557

These Soap and Glory Peach Pout balmy lipsticks are some of the best formulas and perfect for the spring and summer. These are creamy and very moisturizing on the lips. Honestly I know I’m going to be wearing these almost every single day especially the shade FREEDOM OF PEACH because it is the perfect shade of peach and makes it look like I had a bunch of yummy fruit on a warm sunny day. I can’t wait to wear it with a bronzed glowy face. Have any of of you tried these yet? I really recommend these to you all. Just find your perfect peach pout and you are all set for the spring and summer. At times I love to dab some on the lips and blend with my finger for a natural look.

I love all three shades. They are perfect for everyday use and super wearable. Peach ball and peach for the sky can be a perfect nude for some of you.

You can purchase these at the Soap & Glory site or any place that carries this collection like Target, Ulta and I believe Walgreen’s.

I hope you all enjoy this mini post. I will be sharing the whole collection of the Soap & Glory lip products I received.

I do recommend you exfoliate before applying these because they do cling to your dry lips just a little bit.

Wet n wild Photo Focus Review

20180208_122848

Today I want to talk about this Wet n Wild photo focus foundation. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this specific foundation. My twin sister recommended this to me and she loves it. I purchased it at Wal-mart for $4.68 and for the price this foundation is so good.

20180208_122909

The formula is very lightweight. It is very easy to blend onto my skin. (I have combination skin by the wayway.) If you want to know how I prep my skin before I apply foundation let me know and I will do a blog post on it.

The foundation claims to be your skin but better. It also claims that when you take a flash photo it won’t leave you a white cast and it was tested under 7 different lights. I tried it with flash photography and I didn’t get a white cast.

This foundation in my opinion is medium to full coverage and it is buildable. On my face it lasts to about 11 to 12 hours and it starts rubbing off my nose but that’s expected from me because my nose tends to get oily.

20180208_171530

I’m so glad I was having a bad skin day for this post because now you can see how good this foundation is. It covered mostly all my redness, dark spots, etc. This was with one layer of foundation and I applied it with my maybelline sponge, damped. Like the claim said, like your skin only better and I believe because look at the picture above, it gave me a flawless, even-toned finish.

Snapchat-1287229848

Last picture is when my makeup is all done. I didn’t apply any concealer because I wanted to see if the foundation would crease up, it did. The side I didn’t apply setting powder to, ended up creasing after an hour. Overall I love this foundation. It lasted pretty long with and without setting powder. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Maybelline Face Studio Blender Review.

PhotoGrid_1516407434348

This Maybelline sponge is hands down my favorite from the drugstore. It is super affordable (hey $5) and you can purchase it at Wal-mart or Ulta. When you wet the sponge it gets to a pretty good size, I’m sorry I do not have a side by side comparison of the sponge wet and dry. When I apply the foundation onto my damped sponge it doesn’t soak up any product and it gives my face a nice airbrushed look. As seen on the photo above 1) on the curve you can grip for precision and accuracy 2) for blending large areas with your foundation 3) to blend hard to reach areas such as around your nose and under and inner eye area. You will see that in the end this sponge gives you a nice seamless look.

I give this sponge 5 stars. I truly recommend this to you all if you are on the hunt for a affordable beauty sponge.

PhotoGrid_1516478592243

These are some of the sponges I have tried, I only dislike one and I will explain why. I love trying new sponges every chance I get. These are all pretty affordable minus one but you do get what you pay for or better.

1. EcoTools total perfecting blender – This is the most affordable sponge. You can use this wet or dry for a nice air brushed look. It doesn’t soak up any product and you can purchase this at Ulta, Wal-Mart and Target.

2. Beauty Blender Pro – This beauty blender is perfect for those darker products that are hard to clean. This product also gets super moist which helps to use your product even more so it doesn’t soak up.

3. Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge – This sponge was not good. When you damp it, it is still hard and not bouncy at all. It soaked up my foundation and it ripped easily. It’s multi use but I really don’t recommend this.

4. Original Beauty Blender – The famous beauty blender. I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t like this sponge. I love it a lot and I think the price is pretty reasonable. It’s a multi use sponge. I love you use it damped, obviously. You can also use it dry for powders and it gives you a nice natural look.

5. Real Techniques Bold Metals Diamond Sponge –  The only thing I like about this sponge is that it’s latex free and it works good for hard to reach areas. What I hate about this sponge is that is absorbs my foundation so fast. Anyone else had this problem?

6. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – This is the best dupe for the original beauty blender. This doesn’t soak up product and it is nice and bouncy and super affordable. I love purchasing this sponge in the twin pack.

7. L’Oreal Infallible Beauty Blender -This sponge is so soft to the touch and has a smooth surface which makes it easy to hold the product. I think it works really good wet or dry. When damped it gets nice and big. This doesn’t soak up any product. I really love this one.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have any of you tried any sponges not on this list? I would love to know some of your recommendations. This is out of topic but have any of you tried a silicone sponge yet? I really want to try one.

Covergirl Review.

PhotoGrid_1503609953211

Something I have mentioned here over and over again is that I love to try new foundations and mascara. I have seen a lot of beauty youtubers mention this mascara and foundation and for the most part everyone seems to love them. But like always, I’m always late to the bandwagon because I love to see and read reviews on makeup then I test it out for two weeks or a month. Now let’s get started and keep reading to find out my thoughts on these two products.

1. Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation.

PhotoGrid_1503608622279

This foundation lives up to it’s title, vitalist healthy elixir. It makes your skin look so healthy and fresh. It is very easy to glide onto the skin and very blendable. Since this foundation is contains antioxidants and vitamins it does smell like a skincare product but ai do not mind. It is full coverage and lightweight on the skin. All I add is two pumps to a damped ecotools sponge. You can pack up as much foundation and your skin wont feel heavy. I have dry skin to oily skin and this foundations lasts all long, at least for me it does. I wear the color Buff Beige.

PhotoGrid_1503611092584

This was taken last friday early in the morning in natural lighting. Now you can see that on the left I have no foundation and on the right I have foundation on and it makes your skin really look healthy and glowy. Right?

2. Covergirl Total Tease Mascara.

PhotoGrid_1503608726972

I really love this mascara this leaves your lashes nice and defined. The brush brushes your lashes evenly and makes them look nice and flirty. I love the brush has a tease comb at the end for some instant fun lift on the edges of your lashes. I really recommend this.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post. Have any of you tried these two?

Ecotools review. (Brush set & Sponge)

IMG_20170705_125922_36320170705_154246

I have really been loving this eco tools brush set. The new look has a pale looking handle, softer bristles and a much more aesthetically pleasing look. The brushes pick up a lot of product which is a plus and for the price they are really good quality. My old set is still in good condition the bristles dont come off when you clean them.

20170705_153557

The sponge doesnt soak up my foundation. This sponge is super easy to clean. It gets really big when damped.

20170705_154324

The new and old brush so you can see the difference. I had the yellow (old) for about 4 years I believe.
