Covergirl Review.

PhotoGrid_1503609953211

Something I have mentioned here over and over again is that I love to try new foundations and mascara. I have seen a lot of beauty youtubers mention this mascara and foundation and for the most part everyone seems to love them. But like always, I’m always late to the bandwagon because I love to see and read reviews on makeup then I test it out for two weeks or a month. Now let’s get started and keep reading to find out my thoughts on these two products.

1. Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation.

PhotoGrid_1503608622279

This foundation lives up to it’s title, vitalist healthy elixir. It makes your skin look so healthy and fresh. It is very easy to glide onto the skin and very blendable. Since this foundation is contains antioxidants and vitamins it does smell like a skincare product but ai do not mind. It is full coverage and lightweight on the skin. All I add is two pumps to a damped ecotools sponge. You can pack up as much foundation and your skin wont feel heavy. I have dry skin to oily skin and this foundations lasts all long, at least for me it does. I wear the color Buff Beige.

This was taken last friday early in the morning in natural lighting. Now you can see that on the left I have no foundation and on the right I have foundation on and it makes your skin really look healthy and glowy. Right?

2. Covergirl Total Tease Mascara.

PhotoGrid_1503608726972

I really love this mascara this leaves your lashes nice and defined. The brush brushes your lashes evenly and makes them look nice and flirty. I love the brush has a tease comb at the end for some instant fun lift on the edges of your lashes. I really recommend this.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post. Have any of you tried these two?

Ecotools review. (Brush set & Sponge)

IMG_20170705_125922_36320170705_154246

I have really been loving this eco tools brush set. The new look has a pale looking handle, softer bristles and a much more aesthetically pleasing look. The brushes pick up a lot of product which is a plus and for the price they are really good quality. My old set is still in good condition the bristles dont come off when you clean them.

The sponge doesnt soak up my foundation. This sponge is super easy to clean. It gets really big when damped.

The new and old brush so you can see the difference. I had the yellow (old) for about 4 years I believe.

Lush, Oatifix review.

Processed with VSCO with f2 preset

Lush Cosmetics Oatifix Fresh Face Mask – This mask has been on my (must purchase) list for a while now. While stocking up on my two favorite products from Lush, which you can read about here, I took my 5 empty pots to get a free mask. When the employee asked me what mask I wanted for free, I had told him which mask will help my skin stay hydrated and moisturized and he said, “Oatifix, for sure” and I immediately said, “great, I will take that one because it has been on my list to try.” This mask smells so delicious, you will want to eat it.

This mask is really good for dry and irritated skin. Lately here in San Francisco it has been so cold and when it’s cold my skin gets really dry and irritated. Since this is for my dry skin, I intend to use it on the days I work because once I get home, I can feel my dry skin and we always have the A.C. on at work and that makes my skin worse and when I get home all I want to do is nurture my skin back to life after taking off my makeup.

I love to leave my mask on for 15-30 minutes, that’s what I do with all of my masks not just the Lush one’s. I really want all the ingredients to do it’s magic when I put any skin care product. When rinsing the mask off, I love to gently massage it and get the blood flowing, plus after a long day I can use a nice facial massage. After I rinse the mask, it leaves a nice moist finish but not a greasy feeling, just a nice hydrated feel. I really recommend this to all my fellow dry skin people. I hope you all enjoyed reading this post. I would also love to know what you recommend I try and what you love from Lush.

The only thing I dislike about this mask is, you have to keep it in the fridge. I always forget about them and eventually they get hard. But it does feel nice when you put on a cold mask.

Review: Benefit They’re real tinted primer.

photogrid_1487717306078

I was gifted this Benefit They’re real tinted primer mascara as a secret santa gift. I was super happy when I opened my Sephora gift box because I have been wanting to try this product out. So whoever gifted me this, Thank you. I have been testing this product out since I received it to see if it is worth reviewing for the blog. Guess what? It is. I have been using this almost every single day since Christmas eve.

photogrid_1487717008867

Before without product – I wanted to show you all a picture of my lashes without anything on them. My lashes are short and thin. Sadly I was not gifted with long eye lashes.

With tinted primer only – I love using the tinted primer by itself on my no make-up, make-up days. This primer adds enough length and color to my lashes where it makes them look natural. On the photo, I only applied one coat.

Mascara over primer – I applied my Kiko Milano mascara over the tinted primer and I love the combo makes my eye lashes look.

photogrid_1487717410237

Now let’s talk about why I love this product.

1. You can wear it by itself for some nice, natural looking lashes without anything else on.

2. The color is in Mink brown and it is the perfect shade for girls who have thin lashes like me.

3. The brush brushes out the lashes out evenly and adds just about the right amount of length.

4. You can add as many layers as you want and it will not clump your lashes.

5. It dries fast after applying but the good thing is, you can apply your favorite mascara over it with no hassle because it leaves your lashes soft and moisturized.

Overall this is a very good product and I truly recommend this to all of you.

Benefit Hoola zero tan lines REVIEW.

photogrid_1474146195956

I’m so sorry for the delay on this post. But I wanted to do a dedicated post on the Benefit tanning lotion with before and after pictures. I thought the pictures would be helpful to some of you, just in case you’ve been thinking about buying this product. Like I said before, I love this, I think it works really great. But this blog is about honesty and the only thing I hate about this is that it doesn’t last as long as my trusty Jergens lotion. The Benefit one is good for a day and the following day when you shower it will be right off. That’s the only down fall¬†about this product. But that is something to think about before purchasing it. I say this is a perfect product for those last minute date nights or daytime activities you have to go to. I hope you enjoy this post. I really love how when I apply this, it gives you a instant tan, unlike my Jergens one where you have to wait about a¬†hour or two. If you have any questions about this product please let me know.

photogrid_1474145932755

I used one coat to get my desired color. This tanning lotion is very buildable. As you can see my legs are very white. As I’ve said, it doesn’t make you look orange, at least I dont think so.

Have a great weekend. Sorry for not posting links again. Don’t know when I will be purchasing a keyboard for my tablet. I tried fixing my keyboard but no luck.

If I could wear only one product on my eyes, it would be mascara. I love a good mascara, I’ve tried so many, I wish I blogged about them before. I recently ran out of my BareMinerals¬†mascara and been on the hunt for a affordable one. This time around I decided to try the Covergirl and Revlon mascaras and I really love them. I know I will be re-purchasing them and I love how they make my lashes look. What are some mascaras you are currently loving right now or want to try but haven’t got around to buy? I really hope you all enjoy this post. I have a few posts coming up and I’m excited to share with you all. Would any of you be interested in a post about some of my summer reads recommendations from my collection of books? I would love to hear from you.

PhotoGrid_1468360753390

Revlon Volume + Length Magnified Mascara РThis is a super affordable mascara, its only $5.99 at Target.

Pros –¬† Doesn’t¬†clump, adds volume and defines your lashes.

Cons – Dries very quickly

The only thing I didn’t like about this is the color, I bought the brown one by accident.

PhotoGrid_1468360732043

CoverGirl The Super Sizer Fibers Mascara – Purchased this at Target for only $5.99, so very affordable. I love how this makes my lashes look. I don’t like wearing false lashes, so this is a great alternative for me.

Pros –¬†Applies evenly, separates and brushes lashes very good.

Cons – Dries out quickly.

PhotoGrid_1468355506374

For both mascaras it took me three coats to get the length and fullness that I wanted. They both look very similar. I think if I would’ve purchased the Revlon one in black, it would’ve looked the same as the Covergirl one. The whole drying fast is a pro and a con at the same time, we want our mascara to dry fast so we won’t have those sneezing accidents, (why must I always sneeze when applying mascara and get a smudged look?) and we also don’t want it to dry fast because it will be hard to layer another coat. If you want to add multiple coats, I recommend you do it really fast. But overall I’m very happy with both products. Also I didn’t curl my lashes for either eye, so that is another pro about these two, you don’t have to curl your lashes to add some length.

Born this way foundation.

PhotoGrid_1467318525885

I recently purchased a new foundation that came out a year ago. I didn’t want to buy it¬†right away because I wanted to watch videos and read blogs about that foundation first. Foundation is the only beauty product I really take my time with, I love doing my research on it because for me foundation is the most important thing on my face, at least in my opinion. I love to hear/read other peoples opinions first, then buy the product. What is one beauty product you take your time to purchase? I would love to know.

PhotoGrid_1467318642518

Too faced Born this way foundation : in the color Ivory. This foundation really is light-weight on the skin, definitely something I look for in a foundation. When you apply this it feels like nothing is on your face. The foundation really enhances your face in a good way, it gives you a little pick me up your actual no make-up face gives you. This foundation is like a filter, makes you look pretty and flawless.

The foundation lasted a long time on my skin which was a plus. I have dry to oily skin and I was a little scared it wouldn’t last long but it did.

PhotoGrid_1467318585460

While testing the foundation, I applied it two different ways on different days just to see which technique works best.

Beauty Blender: When using the beauty blender (damped)  I applied two pumps of foundation and put it on my skin and started blending away. The result was a nice flawless and smooth finish.

Tarte airbrush finish bamboo foundation brush : Like the beauty blender I applied two pumps of foundation and worked it into my skin. The result was a nice full coverage, air brushed look.

Both tools helped me get a nice dewy finish. But on the days when I’m on a rush I will be ¬†using the brush because it gets the job done faster.

If you have any questions please let me know and I will answer them as soon as I can. But I really love this foundation and I like the natural glow it gives me. Will you be trying this foundation out? Or have you tried it already and did you like it?
